Michael Davidson

Key Consultant

Michael has over 35 years of experience in the air pollution control field. He started his APC career at Lodge Cottrell Ltd that was founded by Oliver Lodge in 1913. Michael initially worked in Technical Operations Department. After gaining an understanding of flue gas process, and owing to his electrical background, he moved into the electrical department. Michael then spent this part of his career commissioning and troubleshooting a varied range of APC and FGT equipment at various worldwide sites. He was able to utilise his process understanding and passion for the technology and travel to be very successful in resolving problems and designing solutions for a variety of processes at worldwide locations.

He then moved on from Lodge Cottrell to work for a large US based APC company where he started to manage projects but also maintained his troubleshooting and commissioning skills.

In 2013 Michael returned to Lodge Cottrell as Head of Operations, where he was responsible for the execution phase of all projects.

Michael joined Torus in 2023 as a consultant where he provides technical consultancy for the APC industry.
